Here is an additional character design that I've decided not to continue, at least for now:
Baumer Hammerhead
Hammerhead has been through a couple of design changes before I was happy with him. He went from a kind of troll:
...to some sort of afro'd ogre:
...until I finally decided to make him into a species of my own creation - a Trillarexus:
Setting
So far I am planning to base the setting of my final piece on a city in Greece known as Santorini Island; here is my drawing of Santorini Island (with my own modifications to it) and the photo I referenced beneath:
